2 Days Left till getting Nuked: "Killing you is as easy as breathing."

Hellz Yeah!
I first heard this quote in the demo for Duke Nukem Forever a few days back. After killing a pig-enemy in the desert level and hearing this quote, I couldn't help but go "Brooooooo....(insert awe stricken face here)". It looks like Duke Forever won't disappoint on badass quotes this time around. Looking forward to it and all your other awesome quotes Duke! I'll be sure to use some of them soon!

To deviate from Duke for a bit: It's E3 at the moment and there's a LOT of gaming news to talk about in all the excitement. Dark Souls, Wii U, Zelda Games, Playstation Vita. SO many games and devices to talk about, that is just some of the few I'm interested in at the moment. After the 'Duke Excitement' I'll be posting about this.

Anyways, I got to go study for my biology exam tomorrow. WISH ME LUCK!

10 Days Left till getting Nuked: "I've got balls of steel!"

I think I want to start out the quote series with Duke's most well-known quote. Everyone knows this, even the guys who never played Duke Nukem in their lives. This quote is the embodiment of awesomeness and deserves to be the first quote to be mentioned.

In other news: Sony announced that the rest of their online services (such as the Playstation Store) will be back up by the end of this week. I'm not too sure if they'll actually put it up by the end of this week, but we gotta stay hopeful. All i want from the store are my free games and maybe Outland. But we'll see where it goes.

Here's the link to their statement:

Fox News: More idiocracy about Gaming

I saw about a few minutes ago that the US government wanted to fund gaming companies in the name of Education and Arts. Who do you think was the first to jump on the story? Our very good friends at Fox News ofcourse!

Meh... Fox News just pisses me off sometimes, and I'm sure a LOT of you guys out there agree with me. They take a highly uninformed look at something, twist it a bit, grind some poo on there and serve it to us on a platter of faeces. THAT's what they do to news about gaming.

Here's what's basically going on. The NEA is including interactive media in their funding. Now: by interactive media, it refers to games that are EDUCATIONAL and not commercial. These are art games and not these commercial games like CoD. Ofcourse, Fox took things way out of proportion and a really uninformed stance on the matter. If they knew what the hell they were talking about, I wouldn't be pissed off right now.

In the video below is the segment that I'm ranting about. Watch it and let me know what you think.
In my honest opinion, I think Fox is handling this like they did the whole Mass Effect "controversy".

Confirmed

I am glad to confirm that PSN is officially up for multiplayer and for messaging friends! Yesterday, Sony said it was going to be up in most states in the US and some other countries, but it looks like it's up all over the world now. I'm sure we've all waited a long while for this, but now it's finally back.

I hope to see my fellow LaGers online! I'll be playing Demon's Souls and Killzone 3 mostly when I get the time. I'm currently in a test week and need to study somewhat, but I'll be online some of the times.

Enjoy PSN LaGers!

Finally

A few hours ago, Sony announced the launch of PSN once more. That's correct my friends, PSN is finally coming back up. The online services of PSN and Qriocity are first starting up again in some states of the US and in some countries. Not all countries have PSN up yet (Like South Africa for instance - Damnit), but it will be up soon, so not to worry fellow LaGers.

Though PSN is coming back up, not all their services will be up yet. The majority of their services will be up, but some like Playstation Store will still be down for a little while.

The coming of PSN does have some tweeks, such as an improved security system and a requirement to change your PSN password. There is a system update that will improve security of your PS3, so i recommend you download it asap.

Here are the statements released by SCE.

PSN promise

Well, as you all might know, PSN has been down for quite some time now. There's been a lot of raging and a lot of debates regarding this whole mishap, like people wanting compensation for not being able to play their games online or check their mail and what not.

I just heard yesterday that Sony is going to compensate us PSN users, so worry not my fellow LaGers. They stated that for all PSN users, we would be able to download 2 games of 5 from the Playstation Store for free. They haven't said what these games would be, but lets just cross our fingers and let them decide it can be any 2 games. For the Playstation Plus users, they will not be billed this month for using the Playstation Plus, and of course they can download the games too.

I also heard something about the PSP users being able to download like 2 games, but I'm not too sure if it's correct, so don't get your hopes up guys. I'm not too sure myself.

Lets just hope Sony gives us awesome games do download and that they get PSN up soon.

News update: PSN

Sony released a statement on their blog earlier today saying that: though PSN and Qriocity are down, they are still working on it. They also said that they would not start up the online services until they are completely certain that the security is up to scratch and secure.

I personally think that this is a major mess-up, but at least the company is trying their best to bring it up and keep it secure. Let's all just hope that PSN will come back up so we can start playing online again.

Here is their post regarding the situation:

Hang in there guys. It'll be up soon(we hope)

So a pretty eventful day

So, i woke up this morning and first thing I see when I turn to my phone: Osama Bin Laden dies.Well, to many people(Mostly Americans i assume), they're kinda happy he's dead and what not. To me, well, I'm more surprised they actually found the guy. I mean, it took them over 10 years. But good for the guys who found him. Must've taken ages.

Anyway, today I also went to the open day of my local university here in my city. It was pretty fun, learning about the different courses to take and all that. But it was today that I finally made up my mind that i'm going to take Game Designing in university. (woohoo, I can finally sleep tonight)

Oh yeah, lest i forget, I was packing some clothes for the needy today. I managed to get 12 bags out of it. So I think I did pretty well. Hope it helps the needy.

I just wanted to say thanks to all the support from friends and fellow LaGers about my choice in university. I now know and think i shall be happy there :P

Keep on LaGing people.

Oh yes, my one friend told me a really funny joke today. I wanna share it with you all.

So Bin Laden is dead... It shows you what Americans can do when PSN is down for just a week.

Haha, enjoy it guys, Peace

An Update about PSN

Hey there again guys. As you know, PSN has had an "external intrusion" about a week ago. I know that it's caused a lot of rage(with me especially), but Sony says they ARE working to fix it.

I'm just going to put the most important thing out there first. According to Sony, our credit card info was encrypted and though it was stolen, it couldn't be read. So the possibility that our credit card info is safe is VERY likely. But as Sony said(and I recommend everyone do this ASAP), it is recommended that everyone keeps track of their credit card transactions over the course of PSN being down as there is still a TINY chance the hackers got our card info. So just to be on the safe, just keep track and report to the bank as SOON as there was a transaction you didn't do.

On the downside, our address information was not encrypted. So hackers currently have access to our residential and postal info. But really, what're hackers going to do with that beside send prank pizza's over.

Anyway, Sony said they're working hard on getting PSN back up and running for heir loyal gamers. They said it'll probably take a week or so, so lets just keep our fingers crossed.

Here's the link to Sony's Playstation blog ig you wanna read more

Keep on LaGing
