Terrible Terrible

Yesterday I was so busy looking for a C and C++ compiler for my mac. It's a freaking nightmare. I spent ages trying to get one, but it all lead to the same thing: Xcode. Now: I would've used Xcode, but the process of getting it is horrible. I need to get an apple dev account to get it, which I did, but I need to download it. So now you're thinking "Well, download it then. It can't be that bad, right?"

Wrong. I would've downloaded it, but the download is 4gig big, and I have REALLY slow internet. So basically downloading it will take a few days. My mac installation disks also came with Xcode on it, but I can't find it anywhere. SO now here I sit, compiler-less. Sad panda indeed.

If any of you guys know of any C and C++ compilers that I can download for mac, please let me know in the comments. It'll be greatly appreciated.

I'll continue to post about gaming tomorrow.

  6. I remember it was hard enough to find an easy to use compiler for a PC that I enjoyed working with... a mac... good luck on that.

  9. I hate to be that guy, but if you want a small, free, and above all good compiler, stop using a Mac.

  10. I feel you on slow internet - I live in the middle of nowhere, & all I can get is 3G wireless... but its more like 0.5G. I get dialup speed downloads, & dialup-like constant disconnections.

  12. Sorry to hear that man. I don't want to start the entire pc vs mac thing, but I've heard that it's easier to code for pc. But that's just what I've heard. Alternatively, find a hotspot and download from there :D

  13. ouch, 4 gigs. That's gonna take forever. Better set it to DL at night when you're asleep then if you really need it.
