Fox News: More idiocracy about Gaming

I saw about a few minutes ago that the US government wanted to fund gaming companies in the name of Education and Arts. Who do you think was the first to jump on the story? Our very good friends at Fox News ofcourse!

Meh... Fox News just pisses me off sometimes, and I'm sure a LOT of you guys out there agree with me. They take a highly uninformed look at something, twist it a bit, grind some poo on there and serve it to us on a platter of faeces. THAT's what they do to news about gaming.

Here's what's basically going on. The NEA is including interactive media in their funding. Now: by interactive media, it refers to games that are EDUCATIONAL and not commercial. These are art games and not these commercial games like CoD. Ofcourse, Fox took things way out of proportion and a really uninformed stance on the matter. If they knew what the hell they were talking about, I wouldn't be pissed off right now.

In the video below is the segment that I'm ranting about. Watch it and let me know what you think.
In my honest opinion, I think Fox is handling this like they did the whole Mass Effect "controversy".

  6. The government already funds video games for training in the military (in many branches), as well as a recruiting tool (America's Army series). So why so mad Fox?

  10. Yeah, I agree, that was pretty pathetic. I've never seen anything that poorly done from Fox before... that was an eye opener.
