June excitement

June is coming up and I'm sure tons of people are excited for it. Not just because it's vacation for some, and not only because it's summer. It's because of the abundance of amazing games to come out during that time.

Alice: a creepier, awesomer side
A few games just to mention are: Alice: Madness Returns, Dungeon Siege III, and ofcourse the long awaited Duke Nukem Forever. To be honest, I can't wait for Alice to come out. I think that it'll be a great deal. People who purchase Alice: Madness Returns, get a code with which they can download the original American Mcgee's Alice. The even better news is: this code will be included for both console and PC gamers. Awesome deal I say.
Look at all that!

As for Duke, I'm keeping a special place for that. I'm going to upgrade my pre-order to the Balls of Steel edition, which included a bust of the Duke himself. That's going to be a collector's item that'll be worth tons of cash.

SO get psyched up, because June shall be the month of legendary gaming.

So PSN is still down

Yep.. This sucks some major ass, by hey. lets just hope it comes up soon.

I'm starting to miss playing online with my friends and messaging some of my online friends. I really hope Sony manages to fix it asap so i can get back to jamming online and having some fun by killing n00bs on Killzone.

Anyway, back to my hopes of game development. I found quite a few jobs here, and they all seem pretty decent, but one stands out. The team Luma Arcade(the company that brought the game Flipt to the iPhone and also the game Marble Blast) is a very successful company it seems. They are the ones who brought The Harvest to Windows Phone 7. The best part about it? They're a company situated in South Africa, a city not too far from where I live. I sent them an email to see if it was alright if i saw how the game development environment was and how it functions as a whole to make awesome games. So far my parents say i can go check what's up there, but I'm hoping when i'm done with my studies, to work there one day.

Here's the link to Luma Arcade's website. Be sure to check it out

I'll keep you posted about the reply email and if i can go.

Hail To The King, Baby! (Duke Nukem excitement)

Ah yes. Only a few more weeks until the infamous Duke Nukem Forever comes out. I for one can't wait until it comes out. I know a lot of people agree with me, and I think we can ALL agree its going to kick major ass.

When this game releases I'm probably going to do a video unboxing, and then disappear from the blogging scene until i finish it over 9000 times. I'm really excited for the release. The trailers just show the badass-ness that is to be had in this anticipated game.

I for one am looking forward to the online multiplayer (if Sony fixes their servers in time -.-"). I like how they're going to incorporate the "duke-y-ness" into it. An example being the game mode "Capture the Babe"(an obvious play on the popular "Capture the Flag" mode in most fps). I just really can't wait. The single player campaign is going to be insane, i can just smell the awesomeness already.

Here's a trailer showing you what Duke's latest bubblegum-less ass-kicking adventure is all about.

Enjoy the trailer my fellow LaGers.
